I was born, raised, and still reside in the Montreal area of Quebec, Canada. I dropped out of kindergarten (aka my parents decided homeschooling was a better idea than school), and grew up, along with my sister, learning from the world around me. What started out as very relaxed homeschooling slipped seamlessly into completely unschooling, and we never looked back.
As soon as I learned how to read, I started working my way voraciously through the children's section of the library. A love of reading gradually grew into a love of writing, as well, and I started my blog, combining my love of writing and unschooling, I'm Unschooled. Yes, I Can Write. in 2008. Since the start of that blog, I've written articles on unschooling and youth rights for Life Learning Magazine, Home Education Magazine, and Our Schools, Our Selves, as well as various other magazines and websites. I've also spoken at a slew of conferences, including the Toronto Unschooling Conference, the Northeast Unschooling Conference, the Quebec Association of Home Based Education Symposium, Conférence l’Éducation Autrement and Rethinking Everything,
